I‘m going to try this boot as it appears the 8“ Valor is not available any longer and this look close. I‘ve worn out at least a half dozen of the Valors and have been extremely pleased with everything about them. The side zipper makes them easy to put on and take off. I‘ve read other comments about problems with the side zipper and how they aren‘t appropriate for work boots. I disagree. I‘ve had many work boots through the decades in construction and mining and these have been some of the best. A little side benefit is the composite toes which makes it easy to go through airports. Will try these boots and see if they are as good.
